The Key Special National Science & Technology Projects — the “Application Engineering of Key Packaging and Testing Equipment

March 6, 2012, the internal acceptance of the Key Special National Science & Technology Projects — the “Application Engineering of Key Packaging and Testing Equipment and Materials” project was held in Jiangyin International Hotel. The “application engineering of key packaging and testing equipment and materials” in the 11th Five-Year Plan was jointly undertaken by CET and Nantong Fujitsu Microelectronics. The project incorporates 41 tasks to be completed by 26 units, targeting 9 materials and using 30 pieces of equipment for research and fabrication. Its successful implementation has to some extent changed the situation of dependence on import of key packaging and testing equipment and materials and laid the foundation for the further localization of such equipment and materials and facilitated the localization process of the IC packaging and testing equipment and materials, which is beneficial to the reduction of the procurement cost borne by the domestic IC packaging and testing enterprises and of great significance to promote the development of the related upstream and downstream industries, the core competitiveness of China’s IC manufacturing industry and its healthy development. Chairman Wang attended the whole meeting.
